and need an abortion?
We're here for you.
INDIANA ABORTION BAN
We know this is a confusing and scary time for people seeking abortion care, and we are here to help you understand your options. We are operating in compliance with Indiana’s new law, which bans abortion care in most cases. This ban went into effect on September 15, 2022.
Under the new law, people under 18 years old can only get an abortion in Indiana if they meet one of the exceptions – if your pregnancy is the result of rape or incest, if you have been diagnosed with a lethal fetal anomaly (the fetus will not survive), or if the pregnancy poses a serious threat to your life or physical health. You will still need to get consent of one parent or guardian, or to go through a judicial bypass, to get an abortion unless the pregnancy poses a serious threat to your life or physical health.
You can also leave the state to access abortion care; for example, Illinois has no parental involvement laws, which means that young people can have an abortion without involving a parent in the decision. To find an abortion provider that best meets your needs, please visit AbortionFinder.org.
We can help you understand your options and connect you to legal support and other resources if needed. Call us and leave a message, and we'll get back to you as soon as possible (within 24 hours).
